About Me

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Art Education at The Ohio State University, with a specialization in Latina/o and Latin American Studies. I also received my M.A. in Art Education with a concentration in Museum Education and Management from Ohio State. My B.A. is in Art History from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. To learn more about my research, please view my Dissertation and Publications pages.

I love museums, particularly art museums, and am committed to making them more inclusive and equitable institutions. I have worked in a range of institutions: in Education at the Wexner Center for the Arts, in Latino History and Culture at the National Portrait Gallery in D.C., and in Modern Art at the National Gallery of Art in D.C.

If you would like to talk about Latina/o visitor study, audience development, or programming at your museum, e-mail me at betancourt.6@osu.edu.  I am always happy to hear from you.
